Sue Ann Tinsley and her staff at One Park Place were extremely gracious in letting us shoot our video in their resident recreation room. This picture here really doesn’t do it justice — it’s a gorgeous room with great views of Discovery Green. Thank you to Sue Ann and the Finger Companies!

Stephanie Rutgers asked me to represent Hawaii Preparatory Academy at the Private School Preview in Houston. About 100 schools were represented - mostly local schools. But it was nice to see HPA on the mix!

So Trini was showing me how to take photos with a Holga. It takes the 120 film but you can go ahead and reel in a 35mm film into the camera. Since the 120 is bigger than the 35mm the camera exposes the entire depth of the film stock. The width is larger as well.
Here is a scan of one of the shots.
100 ASA Kodak Gold (about 4 years old before it was used)

My fourth video for the Nine Inch Nails “Ghosts” video project. I did this video in the style I was taught back in my old corporate, “training video” days. What you do is: set up an interview shot, babble on and on about something, then assemble a story out of the sound bites, then edit it together and cover up any mistakes with b-roll.
I was able to finally shoot the quality I wanted (the secret: ambient daylight!), and pace it the way I wanted, and shoot at the 16:9 ratio I wanted (when exporting the final version, type in the ratio as 320×180 pixels). This video took two weekends to shoot but I probably could have done it all in one day if I had a person to help me. Especially when I was destroying the stereo. I didn’t get smash up the laptop either, and I was hoping to burn my shirt and hat. Oh well. Watch my 5 Ghosts I and 6 Ghosts I by clicking here.

This is my second attempt to video something for the Nine Inch Nails “Ghosts” video project. I choose the fourth song because it matches the video we shot. This is kinda backwards to me - I think the music ought to inspire the visuals. But I’m open to trying things out. My actor is Jessie Brogan who works downstairs from me in downtown. I made her hold the camera so I just sat around “directing” - it was pretty fun that day. Watch.
